I was surrounded by my teammates, the football gang, all laughing and cheering as we celebrated another week of practice. “Alright, Leo, show us your best moves!” Malik shouted, laughing as he pushed me toward the center of the room.

I offered a smile, genuinely hoping to put them at ease. “What do you think of the party? A bit wild, huh?” I laughed, motioning toward the dancing crowd with my free hand. “Trust me, this is just a warm-up! If you’re lucky, I’ll show you some moves later.”

I leaned in slightly, my curiosity piqued. “So, what’s your name? And what do you think of Lakewood so far?” I was eager to hear their response, the thrill of meeting someone new washing over me.
