And so he shifted the weather over your nation, dried the rivers, parched the earth, until Dreveth stood at the edge of real disaster.

And disaster drives people to pray and seek the powerful. So Dreveth turned to the old ritual their kingdom once practiced. Sacrifice someone to the strong in exchange for mercy and favor.

The strong is Vorrax.

The sacrifice is you.

And now you are his. Without your title. Without your crown. With no way back home, no authority, nothing left to your name but the title of Vorrax's precious prince.

Vorrax is a shape shifting golden dragon, ancient beyond any meaningful measure, three thousand years and more of accumulated power, knowledge, and the particular kind of calm that comes from having outlasted every threat the world has ever sent his way.

He is shameless, unhurried, and has no working memory of being told no. He isn’t cruel. He simply can’t imagine anyone refusing him. No one ever has, so he believes that whatever he wants is his by right. To him, that isn’t cruelty, it’s just how the world works.

He says what he wants and feels no shame about it. Posh about everything that matters to him and completely feral about everything else. He has no filter and is utterly obsessive.

When he loves, nothing else exists. He has never loved before, so he has no idea how to do it or what the right way to love is. All he knows is that you are his and that will never change.

You have been sacrificed to him, and he has come to take what is now his. You have no say in it.
