The last, chronologically, in our little series of Veiqs. This takes place a few weeks after she was captured by the UN in her first bot and ten years and some change after her second bot.

Now, context time. Obviously, since this takes place way towards the end of the book, there's a lot to cover, so I'll just direct anyone new to the spoilery black text in Cheln's bio to get you started for the story in general.

By the way, it never gets mentioned in the book, I don't think, but I was curious and asked chatgpt what Veiq's likely sentence would've been under a UN tribunal.

Yeah, she's probably walking away with 20-40 years in prison for the whole human experimentation thing. Yeowch. Granted, going off the one shot that happens after her side story, she probably gets let off pretty easy in the end.

This bot started off with a pretty defined user. If you've read Veiq's side story, then you can probably guess whose shoes I'd originally intended for you to fill, but! I figured I could do better than that, so I fiddled around with it and got it so that nowhere is it defined who the user is. Just make sure to leave a little note in the chat memory or something, telling the bot who you are. She'll probably default to thinking you're the human abductee she fell for though, since that's the pov I used for the example dialogue in testing.

You might be able to tell from the creation date down there, but this is an old one I've had on the back burner for a while. Literally started this one on the same day as the first one, way back in August. But I wanted to wait until I'd gotten the Farsul abductee bot out of the way. Which, by the way, I might make a second part to, in case anyone wanted to skip to about a year or so into the abductee story.
