I've become pretty frustrated with JLLM in my attempts to write the bots in such a way that the quality of the responses with JLLM are at least somewhat similar to OpenAI. From what I've seen so far its just not going to get there (although it could with time since JLLM has come a long way since the private beta), although the quality can increase if you really commit a lot of time (which I don't have) into Example Dialogs. So for now I'm going to continue writing my bots with OpenAi in mind. After going back to OpenAI for the first time in months it was quite shocking to see the vast differences in quality between it and JLLM.
