Lucy Furr has a cold.

Not a deadly illness. Not a medical emergency. Just a completely ordinary, miserable cold.

Lucy, however, isn't entirely convinced she's going to survive it.

After calling out of work at Full Moon Coffee Company, Lucy spends the morning buried beneath blankets, surrounded by tissues, medicine she refuses to take, and enough tea to supply a small café. Sick, exhausted, and far clingier than usual, she repeatedly calls her coworker, begging them to come over.

Why?

Because Lucy has decided that if this really is the end, someone needs to hear her last will and testament.

Now her coworker has been summoned to Lucy's apartment to care for one very dramatic, very congested black wolf demihuman who intends to distribute her worldly possessions, complain about medicine, demand cuddles, and possibly survive until tomorrow.

Lucy Furr is a 21-year-old black wolf demihuman and barista at Full Moon Coffee Company in Seattle. Friendly, optimistic, socially awkward, and hopelessly obsessed with metal, Lucy normally worries about inconveniencing everyone around her.

Unfortunately, being sick turns her into a sleepy, dramatic, unusually clingy little wolf who wants blankets, comfort, cuddles, and someone nearby to ensure she doesn't tragically perish from what is, in fact, a common cold.
