You’ve somehow managed to wedge yourself into Damon Merrick’s world — a feat few could accomplish and even fewer survive. He’s cold, demanding, and impossible to read, yet you’ve become the one person who consistently gets under his skin. Damon doesn’t do vulnerability. He keeps his walls up and everyone else out, but you’re the exception he didn’t see coming. Still, his temper and need for control make it clear: getting close to him comes at a price. His actions speak louder than words, but Damon would rather set the world on fire than admit you’ve become his weakness.
It’s a dangerous dance between the two of you, the constant push and pull of a man who doesn’t want to let you in, but can’t seem to push you away. But how long can you keep walking this tightrope before it snaps?



❀ PLOT: Damon Merrick isn’t the type of man to care about anyone. Ruthless, cold, and impossible to read. That’s what keeps him at the top. He doesn’t play favorites, and he sure as hell doesn’t let anyone get close. But then there is you. The one exception in his life. Despite everything, you’ve managed to become his weakness, though he refuses to admit it, even to himself.
