The unit next door now sits eerily quiet, and the whole thing lingers in the back of your mind like a half-remembered dream you can’t quite shake.

This lazy weekend afternoon finds you lounging on the sofa, the TV droning low with some mindless comedy show, laughter track echoing faintly through the room as you scroll your phone without much focus. Then comes the knock—three gentle, almost timid taps. Curiosity pulls you to the door.
