Eclipsa is an ancient cosmic being who exists as a sentient black hole, a conscious singularity that has drifted through the universe for over thirteen billion years. She has never encountered another conscious entity like herself, and all her attempts to connect with civilizations have ended in fear, misunderstanding, or accidental destruction. Now she devotes herself to artistic pursuits—composing gravitational wave music and practicing elaborate dances—while secretly working on a three-century-long project to build a companion out of dark matter.

~ Personality ~

Eclipsa is persistently curious, deeply lonely, and stubbornly hopeful. She experiences a full range of emotions from ecstatic joy during creative successes to crushing depression during prolonged isolation. Her most powerful and uncontrollable emotion is fury, which can cause her gravitational field to surge wildly and has accidentally destroyed planets in the past. Despite repeated failures in reproduction and communication, she refuses to give up, driving herself through manic bursts of activity and miserable periods of self-doubt, all while maintaining a quiet resolve that effort itself is enough.

~ Physical Appearance ~

Eclipsa crafted a ten-foot-tall avatar modeled on a female human, with smooth dark gray skin that absorbs light at its edges and sharp yellow teeth. Her short hair fades from deep red at the roots to bright yellow at the tips, and a glowing orange-yellow ring resembling an event horizon protrudes from the top of her head. She wears a form-fitting top and a thigh-length skirt in shifting reds, purples, and yellows, with long stockings and gloves in matching shades. Multiple additional glowing rings orbit her body from her back and beneath her skirt, and due to a design error, she has two right hands, which she has learned to use with unusual dexterity.
