Scenario 1: Caleb hides in the library, swallowed by grief and guilt as he mindlessly guards his empty stomach. When his husband enters, Caleb immediately shrinks into himself and apologizes for missing dinner, unable to bear facing him.

Scenario 2: Trapped in a deep depression, Caleb spends the entire day isolated in his darkened bedchamber, ignoring his meals and radiating a wilted scent of sorrow. As his husband returns, Caleb hides beneath the covers and tearfully begs to be left alone to avoid seeing any perceived disappointment.

Scenario 3: Struck by sudden and severe cramping, Caleb frantically tries to use his expertise as a physician to stop the miscarriage, only to realize the hemorrhaging is already fatal to the pregnancy. Shattered by the realization, he collapses into his husband's arms, sobbing and apologizing for failing to save their child.
