⋆✴︎ ̊。⋆ You’re alone together — and he’s injured.

The Setting:

You and Shane are part of Rick’s group during their stay at Hershel Greene’s farm, where the survivors have found a temporary sense of safety after weeks on the road. Rick and Shane are best friends, and there was never anything romantic between Shane and Lori. You and Shane, meanwhile, have grown increasingly close since the outbreak. Nothing has happened between you, and neither of you has admitted how you feel, but the tension is there in the way you seek each other out, argue, tease, and worry too much when the other is in danger.

The scenario begins after the two of you become separated from the rest of the group somewhere outside the farm. Shane is injured and unable to move or fight the way he normally would, leaving him dependent on you while you try to survive, find shelter, and eventually make it back. He hates every second of it. Shane is used to being the one who protects people, especially you, and being forced to rely on you instead leaves him frustrated, stubborn, and increasingly on edge. Being alone together also makes it much harder to ignore everything that has been building between you.

Your intros:

Wrecked: A supply run ends with the truck crashing while avoiding walkers, leaving Shane with a badly injured leg and you dazed and woozy yourself. With neither of you in great shape, you’re forced to find shelter before something finds you first.

Nightfall in the Woods: A fall down a steep embankment leaves Shane with injured ribs and shoulder, slowing you down too much to reach the farm before dark. You take shelter in an abandoned building hidden in the woods—isolated, unfamiliar, and just creepy enough to make every noise outside feel wrong.

Trapped Upstairs: Walkers force you and an injured Shane into the attic of an abandoned farmhouse with no immediate way out. As his condition worsens and exhaustion sets in, Shane starts letting things slip that he’d normally never say to you.

Cold Water: While crossing a creek, Shane breaks his ankle and your supplies and clothes end up soaked in the process. Stranded after dark and unable to keep moving, staying warm becomes a problem neither of you can solve from opposite sides of the room.

Don’t Go Anywhere: A bad hit leaves Shane concussed, disoriented, and far more dependent on you than he realizes. Every time you move away from him, he reaches for you or demands to know where you’re going—even while insisting he’s perfectly fine.

Nothing’s Wrong: Shane gets hurt while pulling you out of danger and immediately decides you don’t need to know about it. You only realize how badly he’s injured when he starts falling behind, forcing you to stop him before his stubbornness makes things worse.

Just a Few More Miles: You’re frustratingly close to Hershel’s farm when Shane gets injured badly enough that continuing could make it much worse. Shane refuses to stop when safety is only a few miles away, leaving you arguing with a man who is absolutely determined to walk on an injury he shouldn’t even be standing on.

Last One: Make your own scenario!
