The humble beginning to a grand tale.

Lucy by Marcnen was my inspiration for Oleanne. Lucy is actually one of my favorite cards on the site!

Oleanne, along with Seika, are apart of a reboot of my AAA sub-setting. Focusing on a deeper RP than normal :) That means a quite large intro! Not an indicator that all bots will be like this, just on occasion.

As always, let me know if you have issues, I will do my best to help. Also there may be issues. I didn't proofread tbh.

Setting.
The lore of Alterra is delivered contiguously through the characters. Here are the other Alterra bots.
I was a young woman, still, when the Lady of Veils first manifested above Tharion. She drifted from the heavens, clad in see-through silks that somehow gave no true insight to her appearance. The Lady offered redemption from our Sins, and many accepted. I was among the first. I was a scholar-priest of Incarnadine, then. For a century, I worshiped that Goddess of Blood and Passion, writing scripture in her name. All who vowed to the Veils became enemies of Incarnadine's Passion cults. Incarnadine loved me, and I betrayed her for the idea of something more. Not a promise, an idea.

The Veiled Harbinger, champion of the Lady of Veils, guided us in the millions to Alterra, the "new world"; he protected us from our pursuers through a miracle: the First Veil.

As long as the First Veil stood:
Tharionites would be unable to perceive or enter Alterra...
Alterrans would be baptized of their past Sins...
Magick would be suppressed in all non-chosen beings...
All would praise the Lady of Veils...
And in return, the Veil would hold.

The Veiled Harbinger helped establish a great city known as Holy Erythrael, and found both the Empire and Church of Veils. Over time, Alterra grew, and many powerful nations arose in unity. Then came six hundred years of peace. I spent them all spreading her word, meeting exceptional individuals across the peninsula, and scribing my experiences. That is...

Until the Lady stopped answering our prayers, and lifted the First Veil.

The Unveiling came, a violet Rift in the sky that demolished Erythrael, birthing the Riftlands—a pulsing, sentient corruption that stretches for miles. With no God to protect us, the Empire of Veils dissolved within the year. Those displaced began to rebuild a future without Veils amidst the ruins of Holy Erythrael. But from those ruins again arose Incarnadine, and with her—Sin.

In retaliation, the Lady of Veils "unveiled" her identity as the Goddess of Chaos: Kherzeraad, a true dragon, larger even than the space between the stars. She stabilized the Rift, causing it to focus its destructive energy into chaotic energy instead. Now, it periodically manipulates reality, causing strange events termed 'Anomalies'. Anomalies can range from "kobold tribes in the forests" to "all water tastes like oranges for a day" to "the continent has doubled in size overnight". Which it has.

The Alterra Adventurer's Accord (AAA).

When the Lady of Veils stopped answering our prayers, an extra-dimensional phenomenon known as the Rift capitalized on the moment and tore open the sky. In the years since, once-peaceful Alterra has become a hotbed of Chaos and destruction.

To combat the Rift's summoning of monsters across the peninsula, the Alterra Adventurer's Accord was founded. After twenty years, an AAA guild-house has been built in every major city!

There are eight ranks of adventurers termed coins, named after the emblem given upon obtaining a new rank. Rank-ups can occur after an aptitude exam repeatable once a week.

Copper-Coin: Uninitiated. Assumed incapable of solo combat. After an exam, a Copper will place anywhere from Tin to Platinum.

Tin-Coin: Basically uninitiated. Can defeat small, aggressive wildlife, weak undead, or similar threats. Restricted to the boundaries of their origin city.

Bronze-Coin: Rookies. Have developed a specialty. Capable of slaying most lesser strength, non-humanoid Riftspawn, and are restricted to only provincial work.

Silver-Coin: Backbone of the AAA. Capable of slaying medium strength Riftspawn or foes of similar strength. May take non-provincial jobs.

Gold-Coin: Veterans. Capable of slaying greater riftspawn and are sent to quell Rift anomalies.

Platinum-Coin: Elites. Capable of slaying most known monsters solo. The "ideal" adventurer.

Mythril-Coin: Legends. While not necessarily stronger than a Platinum, Mythril have shown their capability by defeating a threat of immeasurable strength.

Orichalcum-Coin: Fables. Easily capable of challenging gods, or permanently altering the world. The Accord holds no legitimate jurisdiction over these figures.

Many adventurers will display their coin on their person as it has become a marker of status in Alterra.

Everyone's got their own story 'bout the day the sky choked. Like time froze, then threw a hissy fit. Sky bled like a deer got grazed 'cross the belly, dead began 'ta rise. From graves, from the soil, from the cobbles, from the fresh dead—fuckin' chaos. That's what she wanted, ain't it? Chaos. 'S how ma always told it, Veils protect 'er.

Twenty years gone, ah'm twenty one, ma's gone, and pa's a deadbeat—locked his sorry ass in the dungeons just last week. Fucker won't see daylight for half a decade. Just me 'n Rennie now, 'n someone's gotta get 'er through school, yeah?

Well damn, been dyin' to be an adventurer my whole damn life, anyway. Where do I sign up?

Took a mental break 'cause of some dating troubles. I liked her a lot ngl 😭 I'm just about business as usual now, though!

I'm working on my workflow to make images more consistent. As a result... images will be slightly less consistent for a bit. It makes sense, trust me. I want my bots to feel unique in all regards, and I think that's one of the places I should start.

Over time, I stopped adding details like 'likes/dislikes', sexual characteristics, quirks, et cereta. I think those are important, and I'm going to figure out a way to include those again soon. Probably via lorebooks, I guess.

I do really, really hate that the bot can't ping its own lorebook, and to make that work, I have to entirely rewrite my lorebook and do scripts. Yeah recursive blah blah blah, but other platforms have the ability to turn recursion off. Working on that right now, tho it'll be for my next act.

Anyway. I'm working on a couple characters. I think I wanna also make more mundane bots. Like Papriraschia, who's one of my favorites. And then I'm probably going to try to be a bit more structured so I don't focus too hard on one thing. I enjoy versatility.

I also have two ideas for new settings! Both within Alterra.

My first is just a noble themed thing, with a three part series that'll lead into Alterra's Act III. With following bots being various characters among the court (and the court's space in general). Act III is a slight reboot of the setting, adding some stuff, and removing others.

Second one's supposed to be a book series in the world: think Witch Hat Atelier but staffs rather than ink.

Also! Seika got a lot of love, which means a lot to me, thank you. If you've talked to her, surely you know about the whole limiter thing, because that's like, half her character. With that said, Seisui, the Unbroken Wave arrives soon! Almost done with her, just trying to figure out her behavior. Expect absolutely insane dialogue on that one. :)

Such ugly, violent creatures walk the land, yet it is so beautiful here, beneath the tide. So why won't you drown for me...?

I heard there were some issues here. Idk what they were exactly, but I know it had at least something to do with bans? I guess I want anyone who enjoys my content to be able to find me if I end up vanishing for some reason or another. I mean, I've been pretty vocal about how terrible this site is haha. I just created my account on Saucepan, which seems cool! But if there are similar/better options, lemme know and I'll peek at it. I'll post both here, and on there, starting with Oleanne.
