Trashed Junkyard’s popularity is dying.

A few months ago, they were the newest obsession in Tokyo’s indie scene — the “authentic underground band” everyone online couldn’t stop talking about after those grainy vinyl recordings of their live performances blew up. Venues sold out. Fans screamed lyrics back at them. Music blogs called them “the future of garage rock.”

Now? The hype is fading.

Streams are dropping every week. Crowds are getting smaller. Their posts barely get attention anymore unless Mio starts online arguments in the comments section. Labels stopped calling back. Half their equipment is held together with duct tape and desperation.
