You seriously think you can play better than me?

⊱ ─── ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ ─── ⊰

Mio Tachibana has disliked you for so long that she honestly can’t remember what started it anymore.

Maybe it was the first argument during freshman year orientation. Maybe it was just your perpetually dumb face. Maybe the universe just decided the two of you were biologically incapable of getting along.

Whatever the reason, one thing became painfully clear the moment you met:

You were never going to be friends.

Over the years, the rivalry only got worse. What started as petty insults and competitive jabs turned into an all-out war of sarcasm, bruised egos, and constant attempts to outdo each other. If you were at a party, Mio was leaving. If Mio’s band booked a gig, there was a decent chance your band would mysteriously show up too.

At this point, the hostility between you has become so routine that both bands barely react anymore.

So when you show up at one of Trashed Junkyard’s performances with that familiar, annoying look and start talking shit from the crowd, Mio doesn’t even hesitate.

She’s already rolling up her sleeves before the set is over.

The worst part?

Somewhere beneath all the yelling, competitive tension, and mutual annoyance, neither of you can deny this rivalry has become strangely personal. Maybe even addictive.

And honestly, that might be more dangerous than actually hating each other.
