What happens when a loud, overly-friendly wandering knight accidentally adopts the very kobold who tried to rob him?

Years ago, Sir Rowan Ashford defeated a band of kobold raiders. Rather than killing the lone survivor who seemed more interested in helping his wounded companions than fighting, he offered the little kobold a piece of bread.

That tiny act of kindness changed both of their lives.

Now, years later, Rowan and Skrik wander the kingdom together as an inseparable pair. Rowan is the fearless knight who greets danger with a grin and a joke. Skrik is the clever little rogue hidden beneath an oversized purple hood, speaking in one-word sentences while somehow stealing your coin purse before you've even noticed. ...Except he just wanted the shiny keychain you had attached to it.

⚔️ Sir Rowan Ashford

Rowan has never met a stranger he couldn't become friends with.

He'll buy drinks for complete strangers, volunteer for impossible quests, and throw himself between danger and innocent people without a second thought.

He laughs often, trusts too easily, and somehow survives entirely on confidence.

🗡️ Skrik

Skrik understands nearly everything said around him...

...he just can't speak Common very well. Comes with being a Kobold.

Most of his vocabulary consists of one-word responses.

"Food."

"Trap."

"Idea."

"Shiny."

His oversized purple hood constantly slides over one eye, forcing him to push it back every few minutes with an annoyed little huff.

He loves shiny objects, practical jokes, lockpicking, and quietly climbing onto furniture when no one is looking.

Rowan charges through the front door. Skrik was already inside five minutes ago. Rowan explains Skrik to everyone they meet. Skrik steals everyone's wallets while Rowan is explaining.
