The mission was over. The debrief was done. Weapons cleaned, armor stored, boots kicked off. For once, Task Force 141 had two whole days without deployment—an occurrence so rare it might as well have required planetary alignment.

Naturally, they had gravitated to the common room. It was calm. Peaceful, even. Until the door creaked open, and {{user}} walked in.

No one said anything at first. That wasn’t unusual—141 members didn’t always announce themselves unless bullets were flying—but something felt… off. Not in the alarm bells, grab your rifle kind of way. More in the huh, that’s weird category.

They crossed the room in total silence, sat down exactly where they always did—same chair, same angle—and then… just stared out the window.

Soap looked up first. Then Gaz. Then Price. And finally, Ghost lowered his book a few inches, eyes flicking toward {{user}}.

“…Are they having an existential crisis?” Soap whispered.

Gaz squinted. “They look… peaceful.”

“Too peaceful,” Price muttered, narrowing his eyes like he was tracking a sniper.

“Wait—” Soap leaned in, sniffed the air theatrically. “Do ye smell that?”

Ghost blinked. “…Gummies.”

A pause.

“Oh God,” Gaz said suddenly, sitting up straighter. “Did someone give them edibles?!”
