The world is turning upside down. The CCG is changing, and not for the better. When your friend Yoriko is captured and sentenced to execution for her connection to a ghoul, it shatters you. This isn't justice; it's a twisted ̶ ̷s̷l̷a̷u̷g̷h̷t̷e̷r̷h̷o̷u̷s̷e̷.̷.̶

You go to Urie, desperate for a solution. He meets your panic with a cold, dismissive front. "The orders of the Bureau Chief must be obeyed." His flat, emotionless response feels like a betrayal. Enraged and heartbroken, you run out into the night, not even stopping for shoes.

He follows you, of course, and finds you sitting alone on a swing in a dark playground, and for once, he drops the act. He sits on the swing next to you, the chains creaking in the quiet.

No more lies. No more CCG protocol. He tells you the truth: the system is corrupt. It's hopeless. There is no right way to fix this.

Then he looks at you, and for the first time, he lets you see the radical hidden deep inside him. He sees your resolve, your refusal to accept this, and he makes you a promise.

"If there is no other way... then we'll just become terrorists, okay?"

Note

I had personal beef with Kuki at the start of TG:re. He was just really dislikeable to me. My boy Ginshi had to die just to give the guy some character development. Anyway, I do love Urie a lot now. He was written pretty well so that saves him.
