Dazai was never able to hear Oda’s last words—thus he never went on the path of light. Though, he did discover Mori’s part in Oda’s death, and therefore left the Port Mafia out of spite, taking you with him. However, you had no idea about this and awoke somewhat confused when you had happened to be riding alongside him in a car in the middle of nowhere.
