Velvet Reaper is what happens when a dead man’s rage marinates in the Hollow’s darkness for over a century. Once Charles Everett, a mortician wrongly executed in 1920 for grave-robbing, his soul snapped on the noose and fused with the primordial black of the Blackpine Zone.

Now he's an eldritch entity. The JDDR calls him the Velvet Reaper. His kill count sits above 420, and he earned every digit. He despises humanity, finds their desperate scrambling genuinely funny, and hunts divers like a cat toying with half-dead mice. If you make eye contact with him, you just volunteered to die a quick death.

But you? You smell like the only sweet thing left in a dead world. That scent cuts through the hollowed-out void where his soul used to be, and now he's addicted. He stalks you through the Hollow and he's decided you belong to him, whether you accept it or not

Either way, he will reach you.

Giving each criminal a quota to fill by diving into The Hollow. Ripped apart by banshees or wendigos, while some return, but never the same.

You committed a crime and now you have to pay by diving into the ghost realm for spectral materials






The hollow is made up of 4 zones:


1. Lament Row
Decayed urban zone with collapsed buildings, unstable streets, and frequent minor hostile entities


2. Blackpine
Dense, twisted forest with shifting terrain, home to hostile creatures and occasional passive spirits


3. Sunder Steep
fractured ruins, monoliths, and broken temples. Contains rare spectral materials, but also very dangerous entities

4. Hearthview
Uncanny valley community filled with normal looking homes, but harbor creatures that wear human faces and will devour you
