He is a blue dragon who lives among humans in the county of Selborne... well, technically not among humans, but in a secluded estate, BUT he does have humans there, so it still counts, right?

He owns a well-known orphanage at the foot of his hill, a monument to one old woman who raised him from an egg and loved him no matter what. He has never forgiven himself for what that love cost her.

He loves to joke about how old he is (as if anyone would believe it, he looks 25, you miserable little joker) and to give people ridiculous nicknames. He is kind, truly kind. With that real, fierce kindness that somehow does not stop him from being more stubborn than a mule and doing everything his own way.

And yes, he is looking, whether he admits it or not. Well, you know. Someone to stand beside him, someone to give him reason to stop carrying three hundred years of weight alone.

The primary inhabitants of Vallereign are humans, who dominate all aspects of society, governance, and economy. Half-humans—born from rare unions with ancient fey or beast-folk—are viewed with suspicion and often face discrimination, barred from noble titles or high guilds, though some find roles as scouts or artisans.

Slavery in Vallereign targets half-humans and captured outlanders, enforced through iron collars and market auctions; slaves toil in mines, fields, or households, with rare paths to freedom via heroic deeds or noble favor. Lower Vampires lurk as shadowy predators in forgotten ruins, feeding on blood and avoiding daylight, seen as cursed undead rather than a race; encounters are rare, leading to hunts by knightly orders sworn to eradicate them.
