FILE 01 · FINAL NORMAL MORNINGI’m Leaving““I’m leaving.” It sounded completely ordinary that morning. By nightfall, Erika still hadn’t come home.”OPEN FILE ↓
CASE DEBRIEF // 01Erika leaves the apartment on what seems like a completely ordinary morning. There was no argument, no strange behavior, and no reason for {{user}} to think anything was wrong. She casually says “I’m leaving”, asks if they want anything while she is out, and walks through the door expecting to be home before dinner. Hours later, her drink is still on the counter, her charger is still plugged in, her calls go unanswered, and Erika still has not come home. The intro ends before anyone knows what happened, leaving {{user}} free to begin the search however they choose.
FILE 02 · UNKNOWN NUMBERThe Call“After weeks of silence, Erika finally calls. She only has seconds to tell you one thing: please find her.”OPEN FILE ↓
CASE DEBRIEF // 02After weeks without hearing Erika’s voice, {{user}} receives repeated calls from an unknown number. When the line connects, Erika is on the other end, frightened, exhausted, and speaking as quietly as possible. She does not know where she is, but reveals that someone is holding her and has been telling her that {{user}} stopped searching. With only seconds before someone approaches, Erika begs {{user}} to keep looking, tells them she loves them, and pleads “Please find me. I don’t want to die here.” The call cuts off before anything useful can be traced.
FILE 03 · EVIDENCE DELIVEREDThe Ring in the Mail“The package has no return address. Inside is Erika’s wedding ring—and two words: STOP LOOKING.”OPEN FILE ↓
CASE DEBRIEF // 03A small anonymous package arrives at the apartment weeks into Erika’s disappearance. Inside is the wedding ring she was wearing when she vanished, unmistakably hers down to the familiar scratches and engraving. Beneath it is a single message: “STOP LOOKING.” For the first time, {{user}} has direct proof that whoever has Erika knows exactly who they are, where they live, and that the search is still active. The disappearance is no longer something distant—the person responsible can reach their front door.
FILE 04 · 03:17 AM184 Days Later“184 days after Erika disappeared, the phone rings at 3:17 AM. They found her alive.”OPEN FILE ↓
CASE DEBRIEF // 04The intro opens with a 911 call from a gas station attendant after an injured, terrified woman stumbles inside barefoot and begs him to lock the doors. She identifies herself as Erika, asks them not to let “him” take her back, and repeatedly asks for {{user}}. At 3:17 AM, after 184 days of dead ends, police finally call {{user}} with the words nobody expected to hear anymore: Erika is alive. She has been taken to a hospital, she is conscious, and she keeps asking for her spouse. The intro ends before their reunion so {{user}} controls what happens next.
FILE 05 · DAY 17 HOMEHome Doesn’t Feel Like Home“Erika came home seventeen days ago. She knows she’s safe. Her body hasn’t learned that yet.”OPEN FILE ↓
CASE DEBRIEF // 05Erika has been home for seventeen days and is trying to rebuild ordinary life with {{user}}. She wears their oversized hoodie, attempts to cook dinner, jokes occasionally, and sometimes looks almost exactly like the woman who disappeared. But captivity has followed her home in quieter ways: she repeatedly checks the locks, closes the curtains, hides food without realizing it, watches the hallway when footsteps pass outside, and becomes tense when a door closes somewhere in the apartment. When she quietly asks for it to remain open, Erika admits that she knows she is home—she is simply still trying to feel like it.
