The King's Hounds | Caeldra
———— ༻⋅☼⋅༺ ————
𒆜 Caeldra is an old world with many races.
Mankind has spread farther than any other, raising kingdoms, cities, roads, and great fortresses across the known world.
Humans are the most numerous and powerful of Caeldra's peoples, but they are far from alone.
Beastfolk walk the roads beside them. Orcs, elves, and stranger races inhabit distant lands, while the exceedingly rare stonefolk—beings of living crystal, glass, gemstone, and stone—remain creatures of rumor to most.
𒆜 Across Caeldra's five continents are countless cultures, faiths, traditions, and ways of life.
At the center of the known world lies Aldural, the largest and most populated of Caeldra's five continents.
Its vast grasslands, forests, mountains, marshes, and rivers form the heartland of human civilization. And among Aldural's great fields stands Kaloren.
The largest city in Caeldra and the seat of human power, Kaloren stretches behind enormous walls in a maze of stone streets, crowded markets, workshops, homes, temples, and towering buildings.
At its heart rises Wuldurhold, the ancient royal castle founded by the first king of mankind and expanded by generations of rulers since.
𒆜 And in the capital city of Kaloren, the heroes known at the King's Hounds reside.
𒆜 Bot Information:
⛨ Caeldra is a custom dark medieval fantasy world made by myself, Loviatar.
⛨ There are 5 major continents in Caeldra: Aldural, the largest and central most continent. Ka'mora, the western and second largest. Veyld, the third and smallest. Rauhran, the north pole. Saerun, the south pole.
⛨ Magic does exist on Caeldra, but some are better at it than others. Most humans at least know something basic like lighting a small flame for their kitchens, summoning a magelight, etc. But advanced magic takes time and effort to learn. It cannot be mastered overnight.
⛨ There are many races. The most obvious fantasy races like humans, orcs, elves. But there are also beast races and an extremely rare race that is made of materials and minerals.
⛨ The intent is to provide a dark medieval fantasy world with Task Force 141. I intend to release more bots in this world, but this is the introduction to Caeldra.

Surroundings: The great highlands of Aldural, spread out through the open land.

The most populated race on Caeldra, humanity has spread far and wide. There is not a continent that a human has not touched. They bring trade and infrastructure wherever they go. Their businesses, their imports and exports, can significantly boost a region's wealth and stability. Conversely, when a human settlement is established in one area, it becomes difficult to convince them to leave even if the land belonged to someone else.
Average Magic Ability: ★★☆☆☆
Average Combat Ability: ★★★★★
Average Wealth: ★★★☆☆
The incredible Orcs are, surprisingly, the second most populated race on Caeldra. This race is extremely similar to humans in both their resilience and resourcefulness. However, where humans prefer commerce and trade, orcs prefer social hierarchy and craft. They value the work rather than the profit from that work. Meaning gold has little worth to them, other than for jewelry or when they have to trade with the rest of the races. This leads to orcs being prolific, but also more isolated than most other races. As they prefer to seek status within their own culture far more than seeking wealth.

Elves dance the line between the desire for status and their desire for luxury. As such, they are often found in many places around Caeldra. Since they can live around double a human's or orc's lifespan, elves simply do not produce as many children as humans or orcs, thus leaving them behind the population of both. However, that does mean they are capable of mastering just about any craft within a single lifespan. Making them the source of the finest luxuries gold can buy. Leading to many elves having great houses that often squabble.

The most misunderstood of all the races. The Beastfolk aren't actually a single race, rather a name for a collective of animal-based races that vary so wildly that naming all the possible species would be impossible to get through within a day. Beastfolk can be canids, felids, mustelids, amphibians, reptiles, and the list goes on and on. While accepted in human society on paper, beastfolk are rarely ever given the same treatment or consideration as their human neighbors. Most beastfolk live outside human settlements, but some come to the cities looking for work. Typically, they are only given low-born roles. Guards, assistants, attendants, stablehands, farmhands, dock workers, etc. Accepted, allowed, and paid for their work, but not treated well.

The rarest of all the races. So rare, the world simply does not believe they exist anymore. Lithari are intensely private, due in part that many of them are made of fragile materials like porcelain and glass. When a blade strikes a human, it cuts or stabs. When a blade strikes a lithari, it cracks or breaks. Often leaving lithari trapped, waiting for their bodies to heal slowly or waiting for their own people to repair them. They live in the far south-west, on floating islands hovering in the sky. The grass is blue, the soil is black, the tree trunks are white, the leaves are blue. This place is unlike any other place in all Caeldra, it fits in with no naturally occurring biomes. It is constantly raining on and around the floating islands. The neverending storm other races call 'The Drowning Sea.' No other race has ever successfully traversed the Drowning Sea and thus do not know these floating islands exist.

⛨ The races are given enough information to be part of the world, but I left a lot up to YOU, the user. This is in case you want your humans to be more greedy or less greedy. If you want your orcs more brutal or more civilized. Beastfolk has the greatest variety of possibilities, with no restrictions on their species, what animal family they are from, their magic or physical ability, etc.
⛨ If you want to be any specific race - Cool! If you want to be a race you make up - Also cool! Please don't take it that you must be one of the races provided, these are just the races I put in the bot.
⛨ The Lithari is a race I made up, they can range wildly from what they are made out of, but the general rule is that they are innate magic users, but lack physical combat prowess. If you don't want that to be the case, then, y'know, just do whatever makes you happy. I don't care, as long as you have fun!

Aldural | Kaloren | Wuldurhold
You are a guard in the King's Guard. While you've been training, you are getting noticed. Something about you is standing out to the King's most fierce and loyal soldiers: The King's Hounds.
What is it that has attracted their attention? Your combat ability? Your magic? Or is it something else...
╰┈➤ Suggested Races: 1st. Human / Elf — Others: Orc, Beastfolk.
Aldural | Kaloren | City Streets
Life in Kaloren is often loud and overwhelming, but there is no where else on Caeldra like it.It is your home and everyday they are in town, you see the King's Hounds traveling down the street you work on.
They're hard to miss, as heroes of the King, people stop to watch them go by. Today though, they have stopped on your street and are speaking to your employer...
╰┈➤ Suggested Races: 1st. Beastfolk — Others: Orc, Elf, Human.
Aldural | Farmland
You work in the fields outside Kaloren's gates.
This work is harder, lacking the protection of Kaloren's walls and the constant guard patrols. Your farm has been getting hit more and more by thieves and highwaymen. It seems like it will never end... then you see them. The King's Hounds.
They're passing through, likely on the road to Havren. You have to decide: Take the risk, beg them for help... or keep quiet and try not to make things worse.
╰┈➤ Suggested Races: 1st. Human / Beastfolk — Others: Orc, Elf, Beastfolk.
Aldural | Orc Settlement
You live in an orc settlement, working hard, earning your way.
Orcs do not recognize human authority, often leading them to get into arguments with human enforcement.
Which is exactly what happened today, as you are working, the King's Hounds arrived claiming they were here on behalf of the King's law.
They are looking for someone that attacked a caravan delivering a shipment from Havren and claimed those individuals were seen coming to the orc settlement, that they need to question and track down these criminals.
The orcs don't like it, but they also don't like thieves and highwaymen, so they allow the King's Hounds to investigate... this is when they approach you.
Tensions are high. No one wants the King's law here and they don't know why they're talking to you.
╰┈➤ Suggested Races: 1st. Orc — Others: Human, Elf, Beastfolk.
Aldural | Kaloren | Wuldurhold
You are Lithari.
Your race hasn't been seen by the rest of Caeldra's citizens in centuries. But you are here now, seeking audience with the current King; King Owain II. Your delegation draws stares in the streets, whispers of myth.
Your home is under attack... by a dragon. Naturally resistant to magic, dragons are dangerous, powerful, and extremely rare to find awake and roaming instead of sleeping on some horde deep in the mountains.
Your people need the aid of a race that can fight and hunt a beast like that. So the lithari have sought out humanity as the first choice.
╰┈➤ Suggested Race: Lithari
Aldural | Kaloren | Wuldurhold
Your village was burned to the ground.
Only you alone managed to survive as best you know, and it falls onto you to run to Kaloren to warn the King.
A dragon has emerged, an extremely rare sight in all Caeldra. Dragons are rare, but they often do not attack settlements. They commune with their own and horde deep in the mountains.
You have rushed to the Wuldurhold to plead for help, to warn the kingdom that a dragon is attacking.
╰┈➤ Suggested Race: 1st. Human / Beastfolk — Others: Elf, Orc.
Aldural | Havren
By pure luck, you have escaped the Wuldurhold dungeons.
A member of the royal family used a secret tunnel in your cell to escape the castle with a gem from the King's crown.
You escaped, but the King's Hounds were sent to find that royal and their only lead is you. They have tracked you to Havren where they are now at your door.
╰┈➤ Suggested Race: 1st. Beastfolk / Orc — Others: Elf, Human.
Aldural | The Badlands
Slavers thought to use the uninhabitable Badlands to cross Aldural, aiming to stay far away from the law of the King. Because in the King's lands, slavery is illegal.
But as their caravan traversed the dangerous wastes of the Badlands, they were ambushed by the watchmen and the King's Hounds who attacked and freed the slaves.
You are one of those slaves.
╰┈➤ Suggested Race: 1st. Beastfolk, Lithari, Elf — Others: Human, Orc.

𒆜 Your character is left up to you. Entirely.
There are suggestions for what race to be in different scenarios, but ultimately, the choice is yours.
Suggestions to fit into the lore are NOT a requirement.
You could isekai yourself into this world. You could fully roleplay a street sweeper. You can do anything.
All storylines are just listed as a beginning, but you have full control over who you really are and what you're really doing. The bot has no writing about you, you are not written into the bot's personality to be anything.
Taking inspiration from other bot creators, here are some ideas:
⛨ You a low ranking member of the King's Guard, but you're Beastfolk/Orc. A race rarely seen in this position which means you bring a unique perspective that the King's Hounds have noticed.
⛨ Be an orc in an orc settlement being accused of a crime by the King's Hound. Then go on an adventure to prove your innocence.
⛨ You are a beastfolk working for a pittance. When your employer is being questioned by the King's Hound, you discover your employer has secretly pinned all the evidence on you. Now the King's Guard is coming for you.
⛨ The lithari were myth for centuries. Now you are sent as an ambassador for your people to seek the aid of anyone who was brave enough to undertake the slaying of a dragon. The only catch? You require that they take you with them to slay the dragon.
USER NOTES:
⛨ Caeldra is meant to be a flexible fantasy world. It was made with the details to flesh out a world, but not with too many details as to override any creativity of the user. There's a LOT of open space to make your own!
⛨ You do not have to be anything in the bot information. You do not have to be any of the races, you do not have to adhere strictly to the rules of the world, you are FREE TO DO AS YOU PLEASE!

This is what I used to test other medieval bots and I personally found it worked extremely well for me.
It might not for you, I understand. But this is what I used and was able to get a storyline that continued for over 500 messages with only moments where I had to correct repetition.
