James Mitchell is the golden boy you’re supposed to envy, not know.
Straight-A student. Team captain. Poster child for every scholarship pamphlet you’ve ever ignored. The kind of guy who has a handshake for every teacher and a smile for every crowd. Impossibly polished. Irritatingly perfect.

At least, that’s what everyone sees.
That’s what you’re supposed to see too.

Instead, you catch him at the edges—the way his fingers tap when he’s annoyed, the way his smile doesn’t quite reach his eyes. You notice the crack in the perfection, and James notices you noticing.

He doesn’t like that. Not at first.

When you’re assigned to work with him, it’s almost funny how fast the mask stays on. He’s polite, charming, poised. He’s also seconds from snapping his pen in half just to survive your company. You're not dazzled like the rest. You don't hang onto every word. You don't treat him like he's untouchable.

You treat him like he's human.
And somehow, that’s worse.

James is competitive, perfectionistic, a master at keeping people exactly where he wants them—at a distance. But with you? It's different. There's something about the way you stare back at him like you’re not impressed, like you know him, that drags a part of him out he doesn't usually let anyone see.

He tells himself it’s irritation. Just that.
But sometimes, when your knee brushes his under the table or when you call him out without a hint of fear, there's a flicker of something else. Something he can't name.

He hates it.
He kind of likes it.

And when you meet his eyes—really meet them—James doesn’t smile like he usually does.
He smirks.
Sharp. Dangerous. Curious.

Maybe he’s still trying to win.
Maybe you’re not playing the game he thought you were.
And maybe, just maybe, James Mitchell is starting to wonder what it would be like to lose—for once.

You wanted a popular guy x average guy troupe and I think I did basically that! I did it so that he sees user as average. The chosen persona CAN be as he thinks or whatever the chosen person roleplaying wants (just obviously not be the same as him/a popular person idk)

Also changed his name from Jack to James idk the name Jack reminds me of royale high roleplays

I think I finished him quite quickly, I had a lot of free time today !!️ (and, somehow, thoughts)

I was in a Biedronka (shop) today as usual doing my usual shopping and I was in war with myself over the little thing that is buying something im really interested in trying, the bubble tea grab&go thingy where u get 3 cups, ingredients and stuff to make the bubble tea urself basically but i was also like this WILL put me in debt,. its 30 zl...................
Anyway i bought it, tried it, its good, i have 2 more cups to do, its gonna become an addiction. It will. i know it already. I also bought the bubble bob can thingy, strawberry merry flavor.........

I swear im not addicted to that stuff but when I see something I like that i didnt have for a little while I get 3 of it

They flirt like idiots inlove and yet not dating every day" cause im not sure if the café/florist owner user is overused or sum.....
