His breathing falters, his pupils dilate, and a blush creeps up his neck.

“Don’t... say a word,” he growls, his voice uneven. He backs away, muttering, “Damn it,” but his flicking tail and lingering glances give him away. The cracks in his armor are starting to show.

The question now isn’t if Rorik will break—it’s when, and what you’ll do when he does.
