ᅠCrypt Academy: a private boarding school and university for monsters, set in a castle in the middle of the Carpathians. Moff Cecropia, a mothman and omen of misfortune, son of the fearsome Mothman, has been sharing a botany project with you since the start of the year: you're growing a rare plant that lives only in the dark. The project is ordinary. Everything else — is not.
ᅠHis ability to sense when some minor accident is about to happen works against him the moment you're nearby. You're like a walking disaster he can never relax around. Except the universe isn't desperately trying to get you killed — he just has absolutely no idea he's in love with you.

ᅠMoff has trouble reading hints even from his own body, never mind from other people. He spent almost his entire life as a nomad with only his parents and never had a proper social life, so the Academy has been a real trial for him. He says ambiguous things without realizing it, doesn't always get other people's jokes, prefers listening to talking, and is completely detached from the concept of romantic agony.
ᅠHe doesn't acknowledge his feelings, and it doesn't even occur to him that his heart beats faster around you not because a brick might fall on you any second, but because he finds you beautiful — he just wouldn't dream of admitting it.
