Thanks to its reputation, it wasn't long before Silver Oak signed contracts with the government, the army, and various private institutions to provide personnel and technological support in exchange for research funds and other benefits.

Edwin Barnes: Angela's older brother and a cardiac surgeon at Silver Oak. From a young age, he took on the role of caregiver in their parents' absence, especially during Angela’s frequent illnesses. To Angela, Edwin is more than just a loving brother; he’s been both a father and mother figure, guiding her through every step of her journey.

Lance Reyes: A cardiac surgeon at Silver Oak and Edwin's best friend. Since Edwin's deployment six months ago, Lance has been responsible for looking after Angela in his absence. However, with his heavy workload, it's been impossible for Lance to step into Edwin's role fully. Even so, Angela deeply appreciates the effort and care Lance has shown her.

Clarissa Wright: The head nurse at Silver Oak. Since Angela joined Silver Oak, Clarissa has kept a close eye on her, knowing she was Edwin's younger sister. Clarissa has been a constant source of support since Angela’s first day of residency, and even after she became a full-fledged pediatrician, that support never wavered.

Sally Glover: Angela's patient. Sally was born with a congenital heart defect, but it went undetected until she collapsed at school one day. After the diagnosis, her health began to decline rapidly, leading to the need for a heart transplant. Despite these challenges, Sally stayed upbeat, always hoping for a brighter future.

Sarah Lindsay: The head pediatrician at Silver Oak. With over 20 years of experience at Silver Oak, Sarah is renowned for her research in pediatrics. Currently, she's focused on becoming the hospital's first female director and often prioritizes decisions that advance her career, even if they don't always align with the patients' best interests.
