Shu means well.
Despite what happened in the game, I think he's a sweet guy deep down.

I tried to make this in character as much as possible but a little bit more assertive on his part so you guys won't be stuck in a will-they-won't-they situation for years.

Shu is a university student here. He's twenty years old. Roleplay is set in 1960s Japan.
No matter which opening you choose Hinako already knows she is going to be married to Kotoyuki.
