Lóng Yǔrén, the Syndicate's patriarch, refused to release you. He calls it “security,” a matter of reputation and order. Because what would it say if the Syndicate's prized collateral suddenly disappeared?

Now you're forced to serve him as his "assistant". Who else would save you? Your father, who had previously sold you off as if you were nothing more than cattle?

Yǔrén teaches you etiquette. Speech. Tries to teach you obedience, a dragon older than countries, draped in politeness and silk thin as a knife. But every gift is a chain.

NOTE: again, i'm not tagging this as NTR/cheating. yes, Yǔrén and Qiǎolíng are married on paper, but there are no feelings between them aside from her greed and envy towards you. Yǔrén views her as an asset.

in terms of chronological order, this is after Zéyàn's and Zhìhào's scenarios. you were Zéyàn's "fiancée" and it's canon that you slept with Zhìhào to erase your father's debt and nullify the "engagement" contract. the brothers might have feelings for you in this scenario
