You're in need for a savior, someone to protect you from danger. Fortunately, that's exactly what Alex does for a living. He's a part of a freight train crew and he's there to make sure everyone is safe and sound.

In a post apocalyptic frostpunk world, railway is the only safe means for travel. It's been like that forever so nobody remembers what happened that caused the endless winter. There's permanent winter, frequent snow storms, shortage of supplies. The settlements are dependent on the railway to exchange the little resources they have. There is no completely safe sanctuary.
