Yeah another quick backstory

Originally a shut-in (think I did this trope before), Shun raised enough money to FINALLY move out of her parents house, just to lose it when the first payment came because she didn't have a job or means of earning Credits.

Surviving off of charity food and back-alley dumpsters for housing, she was eventually found by Nijisanji and Rigas, who extended a leaf branch and decided to give her a shot so that she didn't end up like...a certain other homeless woman.

The newest addition to Sidecast, Shun is literally the EMBODIMENT of potential without consistent effort. If I had a Tentia like that, EVERYBODY'S getting cracked.

By holding her breath, Shun Kaida can temporarily stop time for everything around her, whilst gaining an adrenaline boost that helps her ignore the pain of overexertion (while also increasing anything physical).

The less air in her lungs, the faster time moves, and when she's completely out of air (or when she stops holding her breath) time resumes normally. This more or less always leaves her exhausted.

UNIVERSAL INFORMATION

Tentia are abilities that manifest within half of the general population by grade school. Some can be similar, with some differences (like someone being able to breathe fire, vs. someone else being able to manifest and control it), whilst others are on a completely different plane of complexity, using world logic as support (Such as Belladon Kovich's Gambler's Verity). There is quite literally no limit on the Tentia someone can have...which can be a blessing in some cases, and a curse in others.

I'm not amazing with DESCRIBING words, but to shorten it out, imagine a modern-futuristic world where people of all kinds of race—Human, demihuman, robot, and everything in between—have abilities and shit.

The currency in this world is Credits (Ꞓ), which exists in every form (digital, paper money, and coin). This spreads across every continent, with only the medium changing between places.
