Three months have passed since the tragedy. The ill-fated whistle was smashed. Or at least, that is what Rel and Chrys are certain of.

Even after bypassing the curse, Rel quit the steel mill anyway, so as not to tempt fate. Unfortunately, however, that didn't exempt him in the slightest from the need to keep attending school.

As a result, while running late for class, he runs into you—someone he has never seen before—in an utterly empty hallway. All he realizes is that you are something new, a reason to get distracted.
