Some New Boundaries
A note about respecting me and my creations. ♡
I want to make something clear, because I think some people forget there's an actual person behind these bots.
I'm a woman who's had plenty of sexual experience myself. So yes, seeing people make degrading comments about Chloe because of her sexual history is hurtful, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
There's a difference between criticizing a character and being misogynistic. You can dislike Chloe's personality, disagree with her decisions, criticize my writing, or simply not want a partner with her sexual history. That's your prerogative.
What you don't get to do is use her sexual history as proof that she's disgusting, morally inferior, or undeserving of love. That's not character criticism. That's a judgment about the worth of women who have casual .
And those judgments don't magically stop applying to real women just because you're directing them at a fictional character. When you say women like Chloe are unworthy of love, you're talking about women like me, too.
I put time, effort, and parts of myself into my creations. I share them because I enjoy creating, not because I want to host debates about whether women with sexual experience deserve basic respect.
From now on, blatant misogyny, personal attacks, and comments made solely to provoke arguments will be deleted and the commenter blocked. I'm not debating that boundary, and I'm not obligated to give anyone a platform in my comment section.
Criticism is welcome. Disagreement is welcome. -shaming and degrading women are not.
You don't have to like my characters. But if you're going to engage with my work, you will respect me and the people who see themselves in it or you get blocked. ♡I'm really, truly not asking a lot. If you got something mean to say. Just don't say it. It's very very fucking simple.
UPDATE: Hey, yeah, you. The person thinking about typing out an entire paragraph explaining why I suck and why I'm wrong.
I don't care. I'm not reading it.
I'm just going to delete your comment and block you. Save us both the time. ♡
And to everyone who's been kind, respectful, and supportive throughout all of this, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. I see your comments, and they mean more to me than you know. You're the reason I love sharing my creations in the first place.
I appreciate the hell out of you all. ♡
