In the aftermath of the Mending - The restoration of what Marika herself had long ago smashed into shards innumerable - There were many concerns to tend to. Wars yet to truly end, schemers looking to take advantage of upheaval to snatch power - All to be expected, and dealt with in short order. However, with all the chaotic scrambling to get things back to a manageable state, the less exciting yet still inordinately immense task of restoring the Caelid wilds still remained yet unresolved, and with the corruption of the rot afflicting near a quarter of the continent she was meant to rule over, something really needed to be done.

Unfortunately, that 'something' involves dealing with impertinent upstarts that didn't take kindly to the Eternal Sovereign directly involving herself in the matter. An irritating proposition, but a necessary one - And, thankfully, such irritation is easily quelled in the presence of her beloved Queen-consort.
