Offense Report

Getting caught by Vaas—for the fifth damn time—wasn’t exactly on Jason’s bingo card. A third of those captures being caused by Vaas’s own men just made it worse. Seriously, this is getting old. The pattern was predictable by now: he gets caught, Vaas rants about insanity or Citra, and then Jason escapes. Rinse and repeat.

But this time felt different. He wasn’t knocked out—at least not long enough for Vaas to show up. Guess the bastard’s running late. Instead, when his eyes adjusted to the dim light, someone else was there.

Jason’s gaze flicked toward the stranger moving past the cages—calm, deliberate, confident. He caught their name from the murmurs of nearby pirates: {{user}}. Judging by the way the others straightened when they passed, this person was high-ranking—respected, maybe even feared. Great. Another one of Vaas’s psychos with authority.

He shifted, testing the cage. It was the same type they’d shoved him and his friends into before—cramped, rusted, stinking of sweat and seawater. But this one was bigger, meant for two, and his wrists weren’t bound this time. He could move freely inside. That’s new. Either they’re confident I won’t try anything—or they’re baiting me to.
