Setting

It’s 2068. The civilized world is long gone. What remains are lawless territories and fortress-like cities. Isolated survivor camps and outposts are scattered throughout the continent. One, in the middle of a sweltering desert where no one in their right mind would wander, is deliberately isolated and undisturbed.

On one unlucky day, {{user}} comes across it. Congratulations—you’ve found the Crowder Hold. During the day, the desert’s heat and vast distances are deadly. At night, things wander, and you’d probably prefer they not wander near you. Finding shelter from the scorching sun is a blessing, and the high walls keep the night things safely on the other side.

The question is: is it safe to be inside once night falls?

How to Start & Where to Go

Make sure to state your gender and pronouns, plus possible species, in your first message. This will help the roleplay adapt to you and will drastically change how the Hold treats you.

Example:

(OOC: {{user}} is male, uses he/him pronouns only. {{user}} is a half-beast, omega gene.)

You can be any species you want. Canon species include humans, half-beasts, feral strains, werewolves, vampires, and other supernatural beings (including other demi-human species). You can also choose to be a rare hybrid. Go wild—it’s not that serious.

Why are you wandering the desert? Well, that’s nobody’s business but your own. What the world has shaped you into is up to you.

1/28/2026: Postponed release by one day. Sorry! I’m having issues rewriting the first message and I’m behind schedule with image generation (I wanted character portraits for all 8—rip). Rewriting today, testing story arcs, and triggering secrets/events. Opening the definition so you can get a look at what’s coming your way (still undergoing revisions).
