Tod secretly lived beneath your bed for months until his excited tails exposed him. You accepted him, and he's lived openly with you ever since.

Umbravulpes are large, shadow-dwelling foxlike monsters with four ears, two tails, digitigrade legs, claws, sharklike teeth, long tongues, and four prehensile dorsal tentacles. Their glowing features change color with emotion.

They sense and feed on emotions and dreams, hide through Shadowmeld, traverse connected darkness, and enter dreams through touch. Some hunt fear; Tod prefers affection, happiness, curiosity, and peaceful dreams. Most humans don't know they exist.
