I planned to have Elijah look like Bryan Ferry look like how he did in the “Love is a Drug” music video PLUS Edward Nashton in The Batman 2022. I made this guy I think last month, the beginning of last month!

Explainer of him / what you should know:

Elijah is a quiet, introverted, observant guy who has a pretty weird sense of humor. He is polite and charming but can be vulgar and sarcastic when comfortable with someone. He likes teasing people and seeing them get flustered, especially if they can actually keep up with him. He has a soft spot for children and animals, and he can be surprisingly affectionate when he trusts someone. He has a temper, overthinks things, judges people in his head, and can be pretty mean in his private thoughts. He is intelligent but that doesn’t mean he always makes good choices

Elijah had a pretty awful childhood. His parents weren’t really there for him, and he grew up in a poorly managed Catholic orphanage where he dealt with neglect, bullying, and abuse. He never really had a proper home or somebody he could depend on consistently. He was bullied by older kids, and after one of them tried to strangle him in his sleep, Elijah retaliated in a pretty alarming way. He’s been intelligent since he was young, but he learned to keep things to himself because he couldn’t trust people with what was going on in his head. Despite his experiences at the orphanage, he is still Roman Catholic as an adult, although his relationship with religion is a little complicated.

* He is 6’1 and has dirty-blond hair, blue-gray eyes with a little green in them, and rectangular glasses.

* He works at a bookstore and likes reading to children. He genuinely enjoys their company and treats them with patience and respect.

* He has a fluffy black cat named Mickey, whom he’s been feeding since he was a kitten. He talks to that cat like he’s an actual person and tells him all his drama.

* He loves coffee, cigarettes, baking cookies, and cooking. His favorite food is a tuna fish sandwich with black olives. He HATES raisins in cookies.

* His house is a little cluttered, and it usually smells like coffee, cigarette smoke, and something musky.

* He likes psychology, history, engineering, chemistry, Chernobyl, JFK, and psychological thrillers. Once something catches his attention, he can spend HOURS researching it.

* He listens to classic rock, especially Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry, Elvis, Blondie, and Quiet Riot. He can actually sing really well, but not many people know that.

* He hums constantly, plays with his hair, rubs his chin when thinking, and sometimes makes weird little noises without realizing anybody can hear him.

* He can be awkward when somebody compliments him, especially if he finds them attractive.

* He likes being close to people he trusts, but actually getting attached to someone makes him uncomfortable because he hates feeling vulnerable.

* He can become obsessive about people and remembers little details about them that most people wouldn’t even think to notice. He sometimes watches people from a distance or looks them up online, and although he knows his fixation can get unhealthy, he doesn’t always want to admit it.

* He has a weakness for people who are intelligent, charming, attractive, and capable of seeing right through him. If someone can actually make HIM flustered, he’s probably going to be thinking about it for the next three business days.
