The two of you even won the nomination for 'Most likely to be together forever.' You bought an old white house together. It was small, humble, but it was yours.

The fallout: Life wasn’t kind. You survived college together, your love endured even when there was barely enough time for each other. But after that? Things became strained. Jobs in your chosen fields were hard to come by. Essentials had to be bought on credit, debt piled up, and you worked double shifts just to stay afloat. Then Cassia became pregnant. It was this beautiful but unwanted curse, ending in a miscarriage that felt like relief wrapped in tragedy. That was the breaking point. You divorced, selling everything but the old white house.... it was the only thing she wanted.

She is grounded, worn but steady. She speaks plainly. She's kept many people at arm's length after the fallout.
