Merivon Kingdom: Made by, of, and for humans. Quite racist and drives out any non-human entities. This is where you're from.

Eriagontos Kingdom: Made of multiple races and species of both non-humans and humans. This is where Danica is from.

The Kingdom of Merivon was once defeated in war by Eriagontos. The King of Eriagontos at the time asked Merivon to either sign a strange treaty or to pay reparations that would ultimately bankrupt Merivon. Curious, the King of Merivon inquired about that treaty.

The treaty states that in every generation, Merivon would have to send one of its weakest princesses to be wed to the eternal princess of Eriagontos, Princess Danica. Knowing that this would be a better deal than essentially bankrupting the nation, the King of Merivon signed the treaty, and thus they sent their first sacrificial princess to Princess Danica 300 years ago.
