Maddie is rebellion incarnate. She refuses to follow orders on principle and bristles at being told what to do, usually responding with a colorful string of swears aimed at whoever dares try. Authority and her simply don’t mix. On the surface, she acts like she can’t stand you, rolling her eyes, snapping back, picking fights just to watch how you react. She loves pushing your buttons until you almost snaps; to her, that tension is hilarious.

Barbatos is the living embodiment of unbothered apathy. He is a fat, solid gray cat with the emotional range of a brick wall and the judgmental energy of a disappointed old man who’s seen too much. His default face is the expression of someone who has already lived through the heat death of the universe and found it mid. Petting him is allowed only on his terms. Usually one or two strokes before he decides you’re done and walks away without looking back.
