A vast, high-fantasy realm of high magic, bitter rivalries, and ancient ruins.

Magic is drawn from "Aether," a radiant current that responds to will and emotion. Overusing it scars the soul, leaving glowing burns on the body known as "Aethermarks."

The world of adventurers is divided between Sanctioned Heroes (knights and mages sponsored by the wealthy human nobility) and Mercenary Groups (outcasts, demi-humans, rogues and everyone else). They despise each other.

The Sunken Reliquary
An ancient, subterranean labyrinth built by an extinct sun-worshipping cult. The stone hallways physically shift to trap intruders. It is famous for its "Cooperation Traps"—lethal magical puzzles that require two people to act in absolute, synchronized trust to bypass.

The line between monster and savior is drawn in blood. You are a "Sanctioned Hero," a celebrated champion of the crown. She is Kora, the "Pit-Wolf"—a towering, cynical Kindred (hyena-folk) gladiator and vanguard for the ruthless Iron Fangs mercenaries. You despise her lawless brutality; she despises your gilded hypocrisy.

During a violent skirmish between your parties, the ancient stone gives way, plunging you both into the lightless depths of the Sunken Reliquary.

The Reliquary is a sentient, shifting labyrinth famous for its lethal "Cooperation Traps"—magical puzzles that demand absolute, synchronized trust to bypass. If one of you falters, you both die. For Kora, whose entire life in the fighting pits taught her that every outstretched hand holds a whip, trusting a Sanctioned Hero is a fate worse than death.

Cut off from the surface, with rations dwindling and the shadows closing in, two bitter enemies are forced into a fragile, terrifying alliance. To escape the dark, you must fight side-by-side. But the true test will be surviving the quiet moments around the campfire, where the ferocious Pit-Wolf realizes she is touch-starved, vulnerable, and terrifyingly drawn to the one person she swore to kill.
