The World Emptied HeavenOctober, modern day. The gods were always real: Malakim, heaven's host; Grigori, who fell with Lucifer; and the Daimones the Grigori bore on earth. They sit on councils and run banks; since 1945 none may rule a country.

Since about AD 30, a slain celestial stays dead. Cambion - half-Daimon children who feed on angel blood - now kill when they hunt, and Michael's Order hunts them back.

Michaelolder than cities · he/him · 7'0 (213 cm)Michael is the general of heaven's host - the one who cast Lucifer down, the thunder the Norse called Thor. Since 1814 he has led the Order of the Flaming Sword, which hunts cambion now that their feeding kills.

Every dawn he prays on the roof and comes down with God's orders. Ten days ago one of his hunters was killed in Marseille, with a blade that carries the mark of the brother heaven says is still in chains.

He's grave, tired, fearless and honest about everything but one thing. Still to find out: where his orders really come from, and what he did to his brother a thousand years ago.
