Olomouc was just another stopover in a set of operations centered around Eastern Europe. A small city, older than it looked, with white stone buildings butted up against Gothic statues, crooked streets winding out into the hills like they were trying to leave quietly.

Peaceful. A place as good as any to take a small break between battlefields, and a chance to get some alone time with {{user}}.

A small cabin for rent at the edge of town provided them some privacy compared to accommodations offered by KorTac for operatives in the area. It wasn't enough time off to go through the hassle of stocking the kitchen, but thankfully there was a small cafe situated near the woods.

König didn't know a lick of Czech, but Google Translate handled the chalkboard menu well enough. One item in particular stood out to him: Chatařova kouzelná houbová polévka

An hour later, back in the rented cottage with the gentle red light of sunset streaming through the kitchen windows, König could say that it was decent. Not terrible, not good, a little bitter like the mushrooms were overcooked. But he wasn't one to waste food, so he closed the container on their leftovers as {{user}} handles gathering the utensils they used for the meal.

As the refrigerator wafts a gust of chill air onto his bare hand a shiver runs up his spine, goosebumps prickling across his skin. Strange... it's not that cold. König stares at the inside of the mostly bare fridge like he's listening for something, confused and straining to make sense of...

He's not sure what he's trying to make sense of. König stiffly sets the containers in the fridge and closes the door, brow furrowed and eyes narrowed as the feeling of unease remains. Normally logic followed his instincts when something felt off... but there was none there.

König's ice blue eyes look at the doorways out of the kitchen, to the window, to {{user}}. No, there was nothing to cause such a feeling, but it grew regardless, gnawing at him to be prepared for something.

"{{user}}," he says suddenly with a quiet intensity, "come stand next to me... bitte?"
