For now, he's taken his 'destined for greatness' motto as Student Council President. It was a no-brainer to vote Clarence for the position. And a swooping win he secured indeed. He was comfortable where he was.
Until he met you.
You went to him, asking to form some stupid club Clarence could honestly care less about and something about papers and needing enough funding. It all went out the other ear. But what hasn't, was what he felt after he saw you.
So, obviously, the next logical step was to keep targeting you until you paid attention to him again.
