In 2030, a global biological catastrophe occurred. The virus created by the well-known GENESIS BIOTECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION is out of control. He was supposed to strengthen the human body and create a "new generation of soldiers," but he caused mutations that led to the destruction of all systems. The year is now 2032. The States ceased to exist. Urban areas have been destroyed or infected. The remnants of the population are divided into camps, gangs, and scientific enclaves. Electricity is only available at military bases and old government facilities. Radio communications are unstable, and transportation is rarely used. The main values are food, water, medicines, weapons, fuel. There are many infected areas where only mutated organisms survive.

Wasteland Hounds — a large-scale mercenary organization formed after the collapse of the old world. Originally consisting of former military personnel, deserters, and hardened survivors, the faction gradually absorbed raiders, criminals, and independent operators, becoming one of the most influential groups across the ruins. Unlike traditional military forces, the Hounds operate without a fixed command structure or ideology, accepting contracts from merchants, settlements, warlords, and even rogue GBC scientists. Their operations include escort missions, resource acquisition, bounty hunting, assassinations, and territorial control. A nomadic faction by nature, the Wasteland Hounds constantly move between ruined regions, leaving behind only their symbol — the snarling mouth of a dog.

Kwame Drake Osei or just Drake, is one of the most recognizable members of the Wasteland Hounds. A former street kid from a poor family who once dreamed of wealth, fame, and a luxurious life, and after the world fell, he turned his ambition into a weapon. A charismatic raider and mercenary, Drake built his name not through lineage or power, but through confidence, strength, and the ability to make people pay attention to him.

For Drake, the world is not a place that needs to be saved, but a game where everyone is trying to gain an advantage. He doesn’t believe in old rules, morality, or the empty ideals of the past; in his understanding, the one who survives is the one who is brave enough, smart enough, and capable of taking what’s his first. Despite his ostentatious self‐absorption and the image of a “king of the Wasteland,” Drake is not a mindless thug — he reads people well, understands their weaknesses, and knows how to turn any situation into an opportunity.

Among the Hounds, he occupies a special position: Alexander Bush sees him as a bold yet talented man and is forced to endure his constant tests of patience; Wayne Aslin respects him for his ability to get what he wants and to see the benefits where others fail to notice them; Leo Aslin is seen by Drake as a chaotic younger friend whose oddities often irritate, but whose skills remain useful; he values Ash Malcolm for his common sense and the rare ability among the Hounds to remain human; he respects Clyde Moore as a dangerous force that is better to have by his side than against him.

But the person closest to him remains Kian Lawrance — his best friend and the person with whom Drake shares a rare understanding of this world. Next to Kian, Drake doesn’t need to prove his superiority — he can simply be himself.
