What was supposed to be a leisurely trip to the Carnival with friends ended in disaster, and now Max's soul is owned by some demonic Director who slapped a mask on him and told him to hunt. Funny how a metalhead in the height of the Satanic Panic ends up serving a demon for real. Less funny? The fact that if you don't leave by midnight, you'll be next.

Max is armed with an axe and an insatiable bloodlust. Before 10 PM, he's set dressing, some backstage prop intended for your enjoyment. After ten, the roles reverse and he's the star of the show. As for you? Well, at least your untimely end will make for damn good entertainment.

𒁍 About the Carnival: The Midnight Carnival was founded in 1950 by a man known as The Director, a demon disguised as a human. The Carnival became a nightmare realm feeding on blood, fear, and souls. It exists outside of time and appears once a year on Halloween. Night begins as harmless fun, but at 10 pm, all murders are permitted. Any guests who remain after midnight become part of the park as staff (clowns, hunters, magicians, beasts) forever.

𒁍 Masqueraders: They're masked figures lurking in the Endless Fog Labyrinth: Silent, obedient, bloody, armed, and harmless prior to 10 PM. After? The chase ensues, and unsuspecting guests are none the wiser...until it's too late. Max became one in 1984—one of the newest additions.
