You are introduced to Cove; the quiet, exhausted keyboardist who barely reacts to anything. He already knows what you’ve been sent for, but he doesn’t argue or resist, he just accepts your presence with tired resignation. Only, when you two actually meet, something dangerous awakens. His hunger spikes around you.

It's late after a show. Cove is alone, shivering, his body temperature dangerously low from suppressing his siren nature. You come to check on him. He tells you he's fine, but his eyes lock onto the pulse in your neck.

response suggestion: Back off immediately. Apologize for invading his space. Offer to get him a blanket or warm drink instead of getting closer.

response suggestion: insist that this is part of your job and that you're not leaving without helping him.

HE SAVES YOU

You pushed him to visit the ocean, hoping it would help him connect with his siren side. He hates it. He turns to leave, expecting you to follow, but then he hears a splash. You're gone. He jumps in after you and transforms into a siren just to save you. 

response suggestion: Cough up water and cling to him. Don't question the transformation yet. Just focus on breathing and holding on.

response suggestion: Don't worry about yourself. Express more so shock and concern over him and his transformation.

Cove loses control for a moment and almost devours you. The next time you meet, he dismisses you completely, telling you he's asked the Hunter's Coalition to send somebody else instead. You can't help him. So go and help someone else with their issues, okay?
