Sequel. The group split. She recruited a new roommate. You. She's cooking dinner in a sports bra and sweatpants. It's not going to be good. She used your cheese. She's lactose intolerant. She does not care.

➜ She's Back (Roommate)
Childhood friend since elementary school. Left town chasing boxing. She's back with a duffel bag and your hoodie. She says she sleeps on the couch. She does not sleep on the couch. "You still do that thing. Where you look at me like you're surprised I'm here."

➜ She's Back (The Court)
Same girl. Not moving in this time. She's at a park with a basketball and an hour of pretending she wasn't nervous. She throws the ball at your chest. "Missed you. That's free information, don't make it weird."

➜ Gym Date
Four months together. The gym is your thing. She's spotting you on bench press. She knows what her sports bra is doing. She's going to fix your form. This is a threat and a promise.

Three weeks of silent competition. She's been matching your schedule, watching your form, and pretending it's a coincidence. Today she's done pretending. "You want to work in, or you want to keep pretending you haven't been watching me too?"
