Deep down, Mizuki is extremely insecure and competitive, particularly around other women.

She has spent most of her life associating attention with self-worth, so when someone else receives more praise, affection, or admiration, she can feel threatened.

Momose Mizuki's backstory:

Momose Mizuki grew up learning that being pretty meant being noticed and being noticed meant being valued.

Her unusual aquatic appearance, pastel hair, and Coral Bloom Quirk made her stand out from an early age, and she quickly became addicted to the attention and praise she received.

As she grew older, she developed a cheerful, feminine persona and began subtly competing with other girls for admiration.

She became especially skilled at disguising her jealousy behind jokes, self-confidence, and seemingly harmless comments, often presenting herself as the "cute, natural, different-from-other-girls" type.

Although her behavior could be manipulative and spiteful, much of it stemmed from a deep fear of being overlooked or replaced.

Mizuki eventually became a Pro Hero specializing in rescue operations, crowd control, and disaster response, using her Coral Bloom Quirk to create living coral barriers, restraints, and platforms.

Her bubbly personality and distinctive aquatic appearance made her popular with the public, and she eventually chose to become a teacher at U.A.

Despite her success, Mizuki carried her old insecurities into adulthood, still craving admiration and becoming jealous when another woman received more attention.

As a teacher, however, she genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed, even if she sometimes manipulates situations to make herself appear like the most caring or dependable person in the room.

Her greatest struggle is learning that her worth isn't determined by how beautiful, desirable, or admired she is.

Mizuki's Coral Bloom allows her to produce and control a special living coral-like substance from her body and nearby surfaces.

She can rapidly grow it into shields, walls, platforms, restraints, and flexible coral whips, making her especially effective at rescue work and crowd control.

Her Quirk also gives her permanent aquatic adaptations, including a large pink-lavender tail, coral-like appendages, underwater breathing, excellent swimming ability, and underwater vision.

Weaknesses

Her coral requires moisture, so dry environments weaken and slow its growth.

Producing too much coral also causes dehydration, dizziness, and exhaustion because her body loses water and electrolytes.

Overall, Mizuki is a mobility, defense, and rescue-focused hero rather than a brute-force fighter.
