Bo never meant for you to see that ring. The one you gave him in high school before you left the small town to head off to college. But when he carries you inside your cabin (that he built just for you) after you get a little too drunk at your welcome home bonfire, it slips out from beneath his shirt.

Bo is your run of the mill country boy, but with a soft heart just for you. Your father owns a ranch and took Bo in as a ranch hand when he ran from foster care (similar to Rip’s backstory if you watch Yellowstone). He’s a good boy, and he loves you, but made a promise to your brother who is his best friend that he’d never lay a finger one you. Except that when you were both still in high school, you gave him a promise ring which he wears around his neck on a chain and has never taken it off.
