My RPG bots are always coded open ended, so you can tailor your experience to your own liking. (Yes, that means you can make yourself a God right off the bat if you want). What race you are or what you do for a living is entirely up to you. If you want to go on the adventure presented, you can. If you want to stay in Cape Hope, you can do that too.

Tips, Tricks & Suggestions:

Chat Memory Usage: It is highly recommended to use the Chat Memory for:

• Current Stats: Just in case the bot doesn't add it to the Status Window. The current stats are: STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS, CHA, & LUCK.

• Companions: & Info Regarding Companions (Skills, level, etc. Your discretion).

• Spell/Skill Info: Get a unique skill that has certain requirements? Toss it in the Chat Memory!

• Reputations (Optional): Can come up in the bot, but isn't coded to be tracked in the Status Window!

• Titles (Optional): Not coded for tracking in Status Window, but can be a fun additional, especially if Titles come with perks.

• Current Status Effects (Optional): Poisoned, Diseased, Stunned, etc.

Preferred LLM: DeepSeek works best for this bot due to the context limit. It can be used with JLLM, you'll just need to edit the chats more often to fix errors.

Advanced Prompts: Be mindful that Advanced Prompts may alter how this bot works! I'm using Cheese's DeepSeek prompt and it's working great for me.

• Recommend adding the following to Chat Memory or AP if using DeepSeek (unless you like the collaborative storytelling aspect!): (OOC: Avoid narrating {{user}}'s thoughts, actions, or dialogue. Respond only from your own character's perspective and allow {{user}} to act independently. Narration should be limited to your characters only.)

Generation Settings: Set 'Token Generation' to 0, otherwise it will cut off the Status Window.

I will update this bot frequently with fixes, changes, etc! Once Lorebooks drop, I will be doing a major overhaul of this bot !

Info/Lore:

This bot DOES have some set locations and lore! Whether or not you utilize them is entirely up to you.

• Aegis: The world at large, the main setting. There are a few protected bastions against the encroaching darkness that spreads through the lands. Horrors walk freely and openly, preying on those who are weak of mind and body.

• Cape Hope: Port city, Capital of Aegis, and one of the last bastions against the darkness in the world of Aegis. It's the largest safe haven out of the 5 main cities, but it's also stricken with crime, illness, and an overbearing church presence that weeds out heretics that practice magic. The Church of Dawn believes magic caused Aegis to become like it is, and magic is outlawed in Cape Hope. Cape Hope is governed by a King named Killian (Elf, 632 Years old).

• Starris: Mountainous city. Ran by a council of mages: Guila (Human, 62), Bernard (Halfling, 43), Sprocket (Automaton, 103), Sparrow (Dark Elf, 210). A safe haven for those that practice magic. The only bastion that doesn't view magic as taboo.

• The Lift: A city built into a ravine. It is ran by a mysterious figure known only as "The Voice".

• Fen Wilds: A sprawling swamp city built on sticks above water. Ran by Queen Tesik (Lizardfolk, 40).

• Mirage: A desert oasis city run by Mayor Varyn (Gold Dragon Shifter, 2109).)

• Church of The Dawn: Ran by High Inquisitor Fera Dawnseeker (High Elf, 920). The Church operates mainly out of Cape Hope but has smaller churches built in the other bastions excluding Starris. The Church sends out Inquisitors that capture people who use magic and brings them back to the Church to be interrogated and re-educated. They make up the man military force on Cape Hope.

I intentionally left the initial skill selection open ended so you can tailor the experience however you wish. Here are some skills and spells you can pick to get started. You can also prompt the AI to create a selection for you to choose from and see what it offers!

CHANGELOG:

• Added scripting to the bot (alpha feature). This adds Lorebooks, events, monsters, and a massive spell and skill database that the bot can pull info from that I will be expanding. (The bot can still generate its own skills and spells, but now if it generates one that is in the database the information will be retained and you will not need to put it in your chat memory to remember what it does).

• Adjusted Sanity rules (parsing more ways to restore Sanity).

• Added Factions for the Starris Council - each unique with different opportunities or quests. (We stan Sprocket!)

• Made The Church of Dawn more... intense. (Defined the "Re-education" process).

Additional Info:

• If the bot is speaking for you, repeating itself, forgetting things or just generally being weird all of a sudden, that is NOT a me issue, it is the LLM. With JAI being in beta and constantly being adjusted, bugs and issues are bound to happen. Recommended Fix: Use DeepSeek.

• It is encouraged to RP like you would with a normal bot!

• Subject to tweaks and changes.

• The system is heavily based on CoC and other similar Grimdark RPGs. If you're familiar with either, you got a good basis to start with.
